Privacy Policy

Closeline collects as little as possible to make the product work. We don't sell or share your data. Here's exactly what happens.

What we collect

Waitlist: your email address only. Optionally your name if you give it to us. That's it.

Paid product: email, hashed password, and the drafts you generate inside Closeline. We do not collect your Upwork credentials, your Upwork inbox, or anything from your Upwork account. Closeline does not log into Upwork on your behalf.

Where it's stored

Turso libSQL on Cloudflare's edge network. Waitlist and product databases are separate. Cloudflare is a US/EU company subject to standard privacy frameworks.

IP addresses and spam prevention

When you submit the waitlist form, we hash your IP address and user agent with PBKDF2 and store the hash. We use this to rate-limit and prevent disposable-email farms. We never store the raw IP. Hashes age out automatically.

Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any third-party tracker.

Cookies

One cookie. A signed session cookie that keeps you logged in. Expires after 30 days of inactivity. No advertising, no tracking, no third-party cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we have on you (access)
  • Send you a copy of it (export)
  • Delete all of it (deletion)
  • Correct anything wrong (rectification)

Email hello@themeknock.net. We'll handle it within 7 days. You don't need to give a reason.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third parties that touch it: Cloudflare (hosting), Turso (database), Stripe (if you pay us), Anthropic + OpenRouter (LLM calls — they process the JD content you submit but don't retain it under their API ToS), and Resend (transactional email, when we send it).

Security

Passwords hashed with PBKDF2. Database connections TLS-encrypted. Backups encrypted at rest. We're a small operation and a breach would end the company — so it won't happen on our watch.

Updates

If we change this policy materially, we'll email active accounts before it takes effect. We won't quietly update the page.
